Toronto (CP) - The Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs completed a trade that brings the young swedish defenseman Victor Hedman to the Toronto Maple Leafs Organization. In exchange for Hedman the Maple Leafs delt Zach Boychuk, Kris Russel, a 1st round draft pick and a 2nd round draft pick.
The buffalo Sabres now have 3 first round selections in the entry draft and wealth of young players to build for the youth.
The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired one of the younger blue chip prospects in the league. In Hedman they get a kid that can play now and will only get better.
